‘Summer Sun’ open mic night
We thought that to celebrate the wonderful British summer we’d have a theme open mic night – with the theme being that all the songs must have the word ‘Summer’ or ‘Sun’ (Sunny, Sunshine, Sunlight etc.) in the title. So you could go for ‘Summer Holiday’, ‘Summer Nights’, ‘Sunny Afternoon’ Sunshine of Your Love’ etc.
The ‘Summer Sun’ open mic night will take place on Monday 4th September at Charlton Kings Club in place of the normal club night. As usual, songs can be performed individually or by groups and, depending on how many people sign up, you may be able to perform more than one song.
To register your chosen song, send an email to g.e.harrison@blueyonder.co.uk or tell me on a club night and I’ll (in combination with Paddy) compile a list of songs/performers on the website. Please dress appropriately on the night – bikinis, sun dresses, floppy hats etc. and the women can also dress up..
