‘It Ain’t Bob, Babe’
Following our recent ‘Beatlemania’ club night, UkeChelt will hold a similar club night – ‘It Ain’t Bob, Babe’ – where (you’ve guessed it!) all the songs performed will be by Bob Dylan.
The ‘It Ain’t Bob, Babe’ night will take place on Monday 4 September 2017 in place of the regular club night. You can choose your songs from the ‘Bob Dylan songs’ folder in Dropbox, choose your own off the Internet or work out your own version. Songs can be performed individually or by groups and, depending on how many people choose songs, you may be able to perform more than one song.
To register your chosen song send an email to g.e.harrison@blueyonder.co.uk or tell me on a club night and I’ll (with Paddy’s help) compile a list of songs/performers on the Cheltenham Ukulele Group website on a first-come-first-served basis. We’ll update the list periodically so that you can see which songs are still up for grabs.
We now have people signed up to perform just over 20 songs, (see the current list below), with a few signed up for more than one song. If you are still dithering about whether to give it a go, or which song to perform, there is still time to enter, so register your song soon. We’d like to make for a full night of ‘Bob Songs’ and can adjust the programme on the night to make sure that everybody who wants to play can do so – although this may mean that people signed up for two songs will only be able to do one. So hurry up, sign up now, babe…
