Rock And Roll Night
Our next theme open mic night will be a night of ‘Rock and Roll’ on the evening of Monday 1st. October 2018, in place of the regular club night. We’re not talking about the modern Bon Jovi/Guns ‘n’ Roses-style R.O.C.K. – but the classic 1950s Rock and Roll of Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bobby Vee, Brenda Lee and doo-wop.
There will not be a list of R&R songs to choose from – there are obviously some rock and roll songs already in the UkeChelt songbook and the songbooks of other clubs so you can choose one of these, download one off the interweb or work out your own. Songs can be performed individually or by groups and, depending on how many people sign up, you may be able to perform more than one song.
To register your chosen Rock & Roll song send an email to g.e.harrison@blueyonder.co.uk or tell me on a club night and I’ll add it to the list below (or tell you that it has already been chosen and that you need to choose another one). We’ll update the list periodically so that you can see which songs are still up for grabs.
