Open Mic Night – The ‘Trooping the Colours’
Our next open mic night will be on the theme of ’Trooping the Colours’ – no, not military marches (although that was my next idea) but songs with a colour in the title. It will take place on Monday 9th May at Charlton Kings Social Club starting at 7.30 pm. So you could give us ‘Green Green Grass of Home’ by Tom Jones, Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Purple Haze’ or Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’ for example.
As usual, songs can be performed individually or by groups and, depending on how many people sign up, you may be able to perform more than one song. You are also all welcome to help the performers out and sing along with the songs. To avoid duplication please register your song(s) by emailing g.e.harrison@blueyonder.co.uk or tell me on a club night and I’ll (in combination with Paddy) compile a list of songs/performers on the website.
