Open Mic Night – Elvis Tribute Night

8^th January was Elvis Aaron Presley’s birthday (he would have been 88) and to celebrate we are going to have a theme open mic night which will be an Elvis Presley night where you will all be able to perform the songs of Mr Presley.  These could be his early Sun rockabilly tracks, his classic rock and roll or his later ballads and gospel sides.

The Elvis Night will take place on Monday 20^th February so you have a couple of weeks to perfect your songs, grow your sideburns and sew your outfits – gold lame suit or white rhinestone jumpsuit?  As usual, you can perform the songs individually or as a group and you may be able to perform more than one song depending on how many entries we get.  Send your name and your chosen song to g.e.harrison@blueyonder.co.uk  and I’ll add it to the list (or tell you that it’s already been chosen by someone else).  So ‘It’s Now or Never’, don’t be ‘All Shook Up’ put on your ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ and get your ‘Good Luck Charm’ and head on ‘In the Ghetto’ (Charlton Kings) for ‘Such a Night’.
