‘Names’ Open Mic Theme Night

Yes, it’s that time again – the next theme open mic night will feature songs with names in the title – full names or just Christian names, boys’ names or girls’ names.  We already have some in the ChUG songbook that you could do – ‘Delilah’, ‘Johnny B Goode’, ‘Valerie’ etc. – or maybe try Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’, Police’s ‘Roxane’ or ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’ by the Stones – there are hundreds to choose from.  The Names Open Mic Night will be on Monday 14th October in place of the normal club night and we will also start the night by singing some of the name songs from the songbook communally.

As usual, you can perform the songs individually or as a duo or group and you may be able to perform more than one song depending on how many entries we get.  You are also all welcome to sing along with the songs.

To register your chosen song send your name and your song in an email to g.e.harrison@blueyonder.co.uk and (with the help of Paddy) I’ll add it to a list on the website (or tell you the song has already been chosen by someone else)
